80 volunteers from global corporation give new life to aging facilities at a local Head Start school.
Following on the heels of a successful ACCESS-designed CSR event the year prior, this client came back to us with a request to organize another engaging teambuilding event that demonstrated corporate social responsibility at work, to benefit underprivileged children, with just a few weeks notice!
Our team very quickly determined that a local area Head Start site would provide the perfect opportunity for this community service project. The facility’s exterior was badly in need of repairs and enhancements and this project would help create a more positive daily educational environment for the children. On event day, a team of 80 international meeting attendees, part of the company’s global team, rolled up their sleeves, got down to business and spent the afternoon enhancing the site by painting walls with vibrant colors and animal-inspired murals as well as landscaping and enhancing privacy fencing.
This project fulfilled CSR goals of our client’s Corporate Social Responsibility mandate, provided much needed beautification to a local educational facility and produced miles of smiles on the faces of young children. Our client, thrilled with the results, stated, “As a group, we are so pleased to have the opportunity to give back to a wonderful community of people. Children all around the world deserve the best possible life and we are fortunate that we could contribute to their well-being.” She went on to say, “The reception we received from the children and the adults in attendance made this event a memorable one for all of us.”
